Bio

Mel Masterson has spent her career on IT and Information Security teams solving technical problems. Today she is a Security Principal at Sequoia Capital where she enjoys working on securing Azure AD, O365 and Windows infrastructure, conducting incident response, raising awareness by evangelizing security practices and organizing 3rd party security assessments.

Web application security tends to get all the spotlight while mobile security is often an afterthought. Participants of all backgrounds will learn about the importance of mobile security in today’s threat landscape, the different attack paths and considerations that need to be taken for mobile security, in addition to techniques and tools for attacking mobile applications. 

Bio 

Ariel Shin is an Application Security Engineer at One Medical. Ariel started in security as a penetration tester at a consulting firm, specializing in web application security. Her role at One Medical is to provide security for projects and teams at One Medical, which can include web and mobile penetration testing, secure code reviews, secure code training, architecture reviews, and threat modeling. Ariel will have a Q&A at the end, time permitting, so bring your questions!
